FAQ and Tips

FAQ

Is a temporary tattoo a decal?

Temporary tattoos, also known as tattoo stickers, skin tattoos, or skin stickers, are unique decals for human skin. A special paper with a protective foil is printed using skin-friendly colors and provided with skin-friendly adhesives. With water, this very thin image can be transferred to the skin.

What are long-term temporary tattoos called?

Unlike traditional tattoo ink, Ephemeral ink contains medical-grade, bio-absorbable ingredients that shrink over time until they are small enough for your body to remove. As time passes, the particles shrink as your body breaks down the ink. 70% of Ephemerals fade in under two years’ time. We do not sell this tattoo here at Quick Temporary Tattoos (QTT).

What do you call a tattoo that is not permanent?

Temporary tattoos or fake tattoos are not permanent. They are designed to be transferred onto the skin’s surface, not beneath its surface. QTT sells this type. They come in the form of sheet paper, which is applied to the skin with a bit of moisture and left to transfer for a few seconds.

How long do they last?

Generally, they last between one to two weeks, depending on how robust the design is and the location on an individual’s body. This gives people time to enjoy and deliberate whether to make the design permanent from an ink shop or swap it with another design a few weeks later.

What are creative uses for temporary tattoos?

Use temporary tattoos to brand your car windows, walls, mugs, or glassware beware that design does not break down as fast, and some scrubbing is required for removal. For special occasions, tattoo your cups, glass, napkin rings, or utensils before your party or event so that you can just repurpose items you already have instead of ordering customized new ones.

Can I order custom temporary tattoos from QTT?

We are not set up for this now, but please check back with us. The lead time is a problem for most customer designers. We want to have a quick turnaround for our customers.

Do you sell henna tattoos?

While henna is used traditionally in many cultures and is made from a 100% natural plant base, we do not sell any decals containing henna. QTT has found that many people are mild to highly allergic. Our product has been tested on the most sensitive skin.

Can I get a rash from QTT tattoos?

Our product has been tested on the most sensitive skin. At the same time, we are all made up of unique compositions. There may be small percentage of people who find a reaction to these temporary transfers. We suggest using an oil-based product (baby oil, jojoba oil; argan oil; coconut oil; avocado oil, etc.) to the area for a few minutes before lightly scrubbing it with soap. Follow up with an ice compress or moisturizer of your choice if needed. Let our department sales@quicktemporarytats.com know about the encounter.

TIPS

  • Never use tattoos on broken, scratched, burned, or blemished skin.
  • A prolonged tattoo is best on shaved, smooth skin, although it can be applied to hair.
  • Tattoo life is best in areas of skin with low friction.
  • Apply to clean, dry skin only. Wet skin applications will cause bubbles or wrinkle art.
  • If a bubble appears during the application, just pop it, and rub the area with a wet towel.
  • Remove temp tats if they are in the way of medical procedures such as giving blood.

Enjoy your temporary artwork on you, and have fun!
